Panel 1 – Disrupting Anti-Blackness and Eurocentricism: Reflections and Reactions

Five grad students interrogate how Eurocentrism operates in academia and articulate ways to disrupt dominant Eurocentric knowledge while emphasizing its limits, pitfalls, and repercussions on Blackness and racial justice.

Panel 2 – Addressing Anti-Blackness Through Collective Action

Black student associations and initiatives propose ways to expose and challenge anti-Blackness across the university while delineating how to mobilize and sustain collective action against systemic racism.

Workshop – Playing Back Our Experiences presented by Thirdspace Playback Theatre

In this 90-minute workshop the Thirdspace team will invite attendees to take part in an improvisational form of theatre called Playback, in which audience members share their stories and the actors reflect them back to them through improvised scenes using music, movement, dialogue and still images.
