Dr. Bukola O. Salami is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta. She has been involved in around 50 funded research projects. She is the lead on 20 of these projects with funding from national and international agencies. She represents the University of Alberta on the steering committee of the Worldwide Universities Network Global Africa Group. She is the founder of an African migrant child research network of 30 scholars from 4 continents. Dr. Salami has recently been selected as a recipient of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honour Society International Nurse Researcher Hall of Fame, the highest research award in nursing.
